Summer in Texas can make it tough to face the idea of putting on a full face of makeup each day. This summer (and over the last few years) I've found a few standby items that don't weigh you down completely, don't melt off in the hot humidity and give a natural look. Here are a few of my favorites (feel free to share some of your favorites if you have any!).
Lancome Juicy Shaker: This gives a nice light lip color but is super moisturizing with a bunch of different oils in it. You can layer it to build color or just apply occasionally for moisture and a sheer tint. I personally like the Mangoes Wild color as an everyday option - it's an orangey/pink mix that's perfect for summer! I'll definitely be trying out some additional shades this fall.
Burberry Concealer: This goes on super smooth and creates a nice light under the eyes (that's my main area of concern - dark circles for days!). It's easy to apply, doesn't pull at the sensitive under-eye skin and covers nicely.
Chanel Foundation: I like a slightly dewy look with my foundation - this Chanel foundation gives a natural, dewy shine and can be layered to build more coverage. I also like that it's water-based instead of oil-based - makes it feel lighter and less "mask-like."
Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo: I'm a big fan of this set. The bronzer is a perfect color for people with olive-toned skin to give a slight sunkissed glow and the blush is a nice natural flush with a bit of glimmer. There are several different color options in this Nars duo though for all different complexions.
Lancome Eye Shadow: This set has everything you need for a natural OR a dramatic eye. It includes a highlighter, a shade for your lid, a crease shade, and a liner. I love the bronze amour set for blue eyes in particular, although it includes a good set of neutrals for any eye color. They also make some more fun options to create drama or to go with all different eye colors.
